I found the Discord was more quiet than I expected, as Sweden seem to have a reasonably active LARP community. But maybe they are hanging out somewhere else?
Do you have a public repository somewhere where we can contribute? I know maintaining something open is more work, but I’m sure there are other technically inclined people who would be interested.
The way Discourse works it’s extremely complicated keeping configuration in a repository outside of the solution. But I can give some access to devops for technically inclined people. More useful will most likely be moderators and/or admins.
Wasn’t the Wiki for that? Or do you need something different
Repository as in code repository that stores the source code and/or configuration of the sites.

seems interesting, but also seems to be very similar to a forum - I suppose a forum would be better since it can be archived and publicly accessed, which I don’t believe this can be.
So I suppose I’d ask what the advantage of a platform like this is over an old fashioned regular forum.
As for a discord replacement, this is a different sort of platform, which perhaps thats better, but its not really a replacement.
Discourse is forum software that can be archived and publicly accessed; I’ve used it to run a forum for thousands of users elsewhere, and there are some massive Discourse communities out there. You can also set forums to be private or semi-private
There are also chat channels that can be enabled to have threads, like Discord - the speech bubble icon will take you to them!

Oh that’s good to hear, I was under the incorrect impression that it was closed. One of discords biggest disadvantages is that its so closed, and there’s a real fear of losing a lot of the cultures of communities to its black hole.
I would still argue however (chat bubble in the corner or not) that this doesn’t fill the same use case as Discord does. That’s probably fine though, especially for the purposes of a community like this one.
It’s strange to be back on forums after so long.
Discord is a non-starter either way.
Discourse has both chat and forum, but as the Nordic Larp Discord is quite inactive we have pretty clean slate on how we shape this community.
personally I see this more as replacing Facebook groups than Discord, but hopefully we can let both burn on the trash pile of history.

Question is, how do we get more people engaged?
I’m not clear whether the forum is still in a stealth-ish testing mode (I recall something about the original invite being good for 100 users). If it’s fully ready for the public I’m sure we can all start spreading the word but I think setting up some more categories and more welcome messages and rules might be a good idea first.
It’s semi-open. I want to look over some things before opening sign-ups globally. But we have margin with the first 100 invite.
